Art nude and boudoir photo shoot inspiration! – Velvet Thyme

Art nude and boudoir photo shoot inspiration!

Here’s some inspiration from our past art nude and boudoir photo shoots to get you thinking about your next photo shoot.

Personalised art nude and boudoir (you-doir) photography is the very definition of “you do you” – and the fun part is exploring what this means for you. We have created a LOT of different styles and thats how I like it. This is a helpful guide so that you can see what different vibes or approaches might resonate with you.

And don’t worry, if it’s not here – trust me, we can create it…

Bright, energetic and/or colourful photography

Love colour and/or super energetic vibes? This could be something for you to consider!

Disco and sparkly vibes phtography

Are you a bit of a magpie? I’ll be honest, I’m a little obsessed with all things sparkly. If shiny things catch your eye or you love a disco vibe – this photography shoot inspo could be for you!

Food play photography

Food is tasty. Food makes up a huge part of our lives and is a super fun way of personalising your photoshoot.  From chocolates to spinach, 100’s and 1000’s to artichokes. Food is aesthetic and having props to play with can create some super fun and unexpected photography.

Balloons are amazing! Birthday photoshoot inspo

Granted, it doesn’t actually have to be your birthday to celebrate with a few or a truck-ton of balloons. The beautiful thing about using balloons, is they are so much fun to play with and you can choose your favourite colour way to bring to the studio.

Floral & fabulous photoshoots

From a sprinkling of colour in the frame to all our floral goodness, flowers can add some serious botanical magic to photoshoots. I also fully encourage, branches, leaves, moss, soil and whatever else takes your fancy.

Fabric fantastic photo inspiration

Fabric is a great option, a limitless prop that provides a wide variety of colour and aesthetic forms. From silk fans to tafetta there are so many options. We have a lot of fabrics in the studio for you to play with.

Low key lingerie

Elegant and simple photography vibes paired with your favourite lingerie? Absolutely! The reality is that lingerie tends to sit unworn in our closets, so bring it out and let it shine with some minimalist captures.

The book nook photoshoot

Love to curl up with a good book? books can shape us in so many ways, which is why I think they are such a popular photoshoot prop.

Minimalist art nude

Fine art nude photography can really shine in a very minimalist form. From bodyscapes to simply lit captures, these photos beautifully document and explore your curves.

Outdoor photoshoots

This is actually a huge category and could possibly take a while to fully cover, but here are a selection of some outdoor magical collaborations. I am still hoping someone is keen for some urban grungy vibes!

And so much more!

The shoots featured here are generously shared with the permission of my clients. However, there are so many more photo shoots and approaches that we can take. Hopefully this has given you a good foundation to think more about the kind of photography you want to create. If you’re still not sure that’s totally fine too – we will figure it out together.
